Robert Half Credit Analyst in Wheeling, Illinois

Description We are in search of a dedicated Credit Analyst to join our team in WHEELING, Illinois. This role is essential to our operations as it involves analyzing customer financial condition to authorize credit lines, addressing accounts receivable issues with customers and internal personnel, and effectively managing customer issues related to credit.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzing credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit to customers

• Exercising judgment in making risk assessment decisions regarding terms, credit limits, and payment plans

• Facilitating and assessing amendments to credit limits and terms for existing customers

• Advising planning and production departments of contractual rights and obligations regarding credit and receivables

• Coordinating work of sales department with production and shipping departments to ensure credit fulfillment of contractual obligations

• Acting as a liaison between Sales, Accounting, Credit, Design, and Management for proper adherence to policies and approvals

• Consulting with customers to resolve complaints and verify financial and credit transactions

• Communicating and appropriately escalating accounts receivable concerns and resolutions

• Involvement in all aspects of receivables management for the company as required

• Approving credit and collecting payments as necessary. Requirements • Must have a minimum of one year of experience as a Credit Analyst or in a similar role.

• Proficient in approving credit decisions based on analysis of financial information.

• Demonstrated experience in collecting payments from clients and managing debt recovery.

• Strong understanding of corporate credit, including evaluating financial statements and credit data.

• Excellent analytical skills to assess creditworthiness and minimize risk.

• Proficient in using financial software and databases.

• Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and internal teams.

• Ability to remain updated on financial trends and economic developments.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred.

• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

• Must comply with all legal and company regulations regarding credit analysis.
