Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Westport, Connecticut. The successful applicant will be involved in a wide range of financial processes, including the intake, assessment, and processing of incoming invoices and employee expense reports. This role will be instrumental in vendor management, tax-related tasks, and corporate program administration, among other responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the intake, assessment, and processing of incoming invoices and employee expense reports across various platforms.

• Contribute to vendor management procedures, including onboarding and ongoing support for inquiries.

• Monitor and manage incoming emails in the AP and expense mailbox.

• Facilitate card management activities and execute vendor payments.

• Set up new vendors in the system

• Aid in tax-related tasks such as mailings, filings, scanning, and tracker maintenance.

• Track and follow up on monthly expense report submissions.

• Assist in managing tax payments, refunds, withholding tax forms, and new entity onboarding processes, including EIN applications and entity dissolution tax forms.

• Assist with annual audit and month end activities

• Offer support for ad hoc requests and projects across various teams.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Knowledge of General Ledger management

• Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries

• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in using NetSuite and Oracle for accounting tasks

• Experience with QuickBooks software

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
