Unity House Special Education Teacher in Troy, New York

A Child's Place has opportunities available for Master’s Level Special Education Teachers with B-2 certification in our Special Education Department for Full-Time School Calendar.

Pay is based on experience and degree/certification.

The hours typically are Monday - Friday 8am-1:30pm 35hrs/week.

Responsibilities:

Assess the needs of young children with special needs in the Preschool Special Education classroom.

Address educational and behavioral needs based upon individual children’s using knowledge in evidence-based practices.

Adapt behavioral plans accordingly.

Work with a supportive multi-disciplinary team.

Work collaboratively with all staff and administration to benefit the needs of all the children.

Perform student assessment and evaluation required.

Promote a classroom of inclusion and belonging.

Requirements:

Master's Degree and certification in Students with Disabilities Birth to Grade 2. Proficient writing and computer skills, ability to support behavior plans. Must have reliable transportation. Clean and valid NYS driver's license.
