This position is responsible for completing schedules and ensuring that member transports are accomplished in a safe, efficient and timely manner.
Ensure the coordination and implementation of timely, efficient and cost-effective transportation services by Premier vendors.
Route transports in a manner that will decrease member wait time and be limited to no more than thirty (30) minutes following an appointment
Comply with company policies and procedures
Create schedules for company drivers and external vendors
Serve as liaison between transportation and other VA Premier Health Plan Departments
Provide excellent customer service to clients scheduling transportation and inquiring about previously scheduled transportation
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent required
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE AND/OR SKILLS
Valid driver’s license issued in the Commonwealth of Virginia
License in good standing
Ability to read a city street map and develop an effective schedule
Solid knowledge and familiarity with the local and surrounding area
Good interpersonal skills
Good driving skills
Must be able to demonstrate good communication skills
1 Year Dispatching experience preferred
Experience with scheduling software preferred
Computer proficiency required
- Physicalhealth sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position
