Description We are seeking a Medical Billing Specialist in the Healthcare/NHS sector based in Glen Allen, Virginia, United States. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity and involves working closely with the collections team, leveraging your understanding of medical collections, billing, and claims.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the collections team with medical billing tasks

• Maintain familiarity with medical collections work

• Understand and manage billing and claims processes

• Accurately process customer credit applications

• Maintain and update customer credit records as necessary

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate actions to collect delinquent payments

• Resolve customer credit inquiries efficiently and professionally

• Utilize skills in Medical Billing, Medical Claims, and Medical Collections to perform job functions effectively

• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of the billing department. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of Medical Billing.

• Proficient in handling Medical Claims.

• Demonstrated experience in Medical Collections.

• Ability to interpret and analyze patient medical records.

• Familiarity with healthcare billing procedures and documentation.

• Knowledge of healthcare insurance policies and regulations.

• Proficiency in using medical billing software.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Strong communication skills to liaise with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
