• POSITION SUMMARY:

• Primary oversight of the administrative functions of the Physician Practice to include operations, staff supervision, customer services and problem resolution.. Provides leadership with a strong focus on customer satisfaction. Collaborates with providers to improve processes and resolve issues. Develops and coordinates efficient department procedures that support the operations of the Practice.

• QUALIFICATIONS:

• EDUCATION:

• Minimum: BS. degree in business, healthcare, or related field.

  Preferred: M. S. in business or healthcare administration.

• WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum: 3-5 years experience in Physician Practice operations, 3 years in a supervisory role. Experience with computerized patient scheduling. Computer literacy required with word processing, spreadsheets, power point and EMRs.

  Preferred: Knowledge of Physician Office and Physician billing. Ability to create and manage an operating budget. Experience with Microsoft Office products including word, excel and power point. Medent systems experience and patient scheduling.

SKILLS:

Minimum: Exceptional interpersonal skills, incluing prior positive physician relations. Demonstrates ability to work independently and maintain current systems. Demonstrates ability to prioritize workload, develop/maintain efficient office systems and complete payroll. Strong verbal/written skills in communicating skills. Exceptional organization skills, working knowledge of CPT & ICD-10 codes. Problem solving skills must be well developed.

Preferred: Outpatient admission/registration experience preferred. Medical terminology. Scheduling and billing knowledge and experience preferred. Knowledge of Occupational Health, DOT and Worker’s Compensation.
