Job Title: Aerospace Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Aerospace Engineer responsible for the design, analysis, and documentation of aerodynamic structures and mechanical systems & sub-assemblies. This role involves providing manufacturing support, communicating technical status to internal and external stakeholders, mentoring junior engineers, and managing the development of new products. The ideal candidate will be adept at developing designs for highly constrained environments, utilizing Finite Element Analysis techniques, interpreting requirements, and conducting empirical aircraft stress analysis. Some domestic and international travel may be required to meet the needs of the role.

Hard Skills

• Experience in Aerospace Engineering

• Proficient with Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

• Familiarity with FEMAP software

• Experience within the aircraft industry

• Background in airworthiness certification processes

Soft Skills

• Ability to mentor and guide less experienced engineers

• Strong communication skills

• Capable of working flexibly with a variety of teams and disciplines

• Proactive in managing and documenting product development

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

Work Environment

The position is based in an office setting working alongside 2 mechanical engineers and one mechanical designer. The successful candidate should be flexible with working hours, as the typical schedule is 8-5, but may require overtime and late hours to meet business demands and deadlines. With a total of 15 current employees, the new hire will have frequent interactions across all engineering disciplines and will report directly to the Engineering Manager.
