Description:

The security analyst will be responsible for researching, interpreting and recommending strategies to mitigate application vulnerabilities identified through DAST scans. This would be primarily Java/.NET applications. This position aligns to ongoing security vulnerability programs at the client which are focused on ensuring identification and reduction of potential cyber security threats within the enterprise. This person will work in conjunction with various other security professionals and teams to make sure all potential vulnerabilities are remediated and applications are secure. Position Requirements : * Exposure to Java/.NET development within an integrated development environment and in adherence with a structured software development lifecycle in order to analyze and recommend mitigation strategies to developers. * Experience analyzing output of Rapid7 scans * Experience as an internal service provider working in collaboration with vendors in conducting static application security scans and recommending countermeasures necessary to mitigate detected vulnerabilities Desired Skills and Experience * As an analyst, one must have a foundation of prior work with secure Java/.NET development experience to be able to communicate application vulnerabilities and remediation tactics to the developers. * Penetration testing experience and knowledge is needed to understand how to analyze the outputs of pen tests and communicate findings to those who will own remediation. * Prior experience as a Linux and Windows system administrator in an enterprise environment is helpful to analyze vulnerabilities and communicate remediation strategies. * Prior experience with continuous integration systems and build jobs. Continuous integration tools such as Jenkins and VSTS in support of development teams and scheduled tasks is helpful to analyze and recommend approaches to increase the velocity of analysis processes. * Familiarity and prior experience with enterprise ticketing systems and task management/issue tracking.
