Job Description:

This is a wonderful opportunity to join a team of 8 full time audiologists and 2 licensed audiology assistants and practice at the top of audiology licensure! The Callier Center for Communication Disorders has been dedicated to helping children and adults with speech, language, and hearing disorders for over 60 years. We are a busy community non-profit clinic operating on two campuses and we see over 4000 patients per year. In addition, we serve as the training clinic for the 3rd ranked doctor of audiology program, University of Texas at Dallas, and we participate in translational research finding ways to move research to the clinic and have a direct impact on patient care!

The audiologist for this open position will be involved in the following:

The performance of diagnostic and therapeutic audiological services on patients’ school aged to adults who have or wish to rule out hearing loss as the source of their communication disorders. This would include hearing aid dispensing and fitting of assistive technology when appropriate.

  • Supervision of students in the doctor of audiology program

  • Interprofessional and intraprofessional collaboration with audiologists, speech-language pathologists, and faculty at UT Dallas.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Audiology. Certification by American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. License holder or qualified to obtain license to practice Audiology in the State of Texas within 60 days of employment.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Doctor of Audiology (AuD) Degree awarded by June 1, 2024.

  • 3 years or more of experience as a clinical audiologist is preferred due to supervision of student’s requirement.

  • Experience in hearing aid dispensing for school aged to adult population preferred.

  • Experience in the diagnosis and management of tinnitus preferred.

  • Experience in clinical supervision preferred.

  • Able and willing to work with and communicate in an empathetic, confidential, and professional manner to patients across age ranges and from all cultural linguistic and socioeconomic backgrounds

  • Ability to speak Spanish is preferred but not required.
