Aerotek is hiring an array of CNC Machinists (Inside Machinists) for Defense Companies in the Norfolk/Newport News shipyards. Ideal candidates will have 8+ years of applicable LARGE PARTS experience.

Ideal Candidates:

CNC Machinists (Large Parts)

Prior shipyard machining experience

Mill and Lathe experience

1-2 ton parts

Setup and Operation experience

Overhead crane operation experience (as CNC Machinist)

Prior experience from agriculture, construction, large parts manufacturing industries

PAMAS, GNL, Horizontal Boring Mills, Shisha, Mitsubishi, Starring, Thiever, etc.

Job Description/Requirements:

Machining LARGE PARTS for New Construction and Repair of Navy ships

Set up, program editing, CNC operation

Blueprint and drawing interpretation

Certified or experience with overhead cranes

Mill and Lathe experience

Precision Measuring Instruments; micrometers, calipers, boring gauges

Knowledge and experience with G and M Codes

8+ Years of applicable CNC Machining experience
