The HEDIS Medical Record Chaser role will be responsible for the coordination, on-site data collection, and uploading of HEDIS medical records. The sole purpose of this position is for HEDIS data collection and related activities, as assigned. This is a seasonal contract position from 1/14/19 - 5/15/19. Local travel is required.
Planning, organizing and coordinating HEDIS medical record retrieval activities to include, but not limited to:
Send medical record requests
Scheduling and coordinating on-site medical record retrieval as needed
Uploading medical records
Working with the HEDIS Senior Manager and HEDIS Team Lead to identify and share best practices and opportunities for quality improvement
Other HEDIS activities, as assigned
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma
RHIT/RHIA or other medical record training, preferred
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE AND/OR SKILLS
HEDIS experience, preferred
Ability to negotiate with practitioners and providers
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to use Microsoft Excel proficiently
- HEDIS experience, preferably in a managed care or medical environment
- Physicalhealth sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position
